Spectacular Comet

C/2006 P1, also known as Comet McNaught, is visible to the naked eye, during sunrise or sunset, in the western sky, just above the orange glow of the sunset. It is the brightest comet visible since 1975. The RAS's Editorial Office Manager, John Randall, captured this image on 10 January.
