The researchers of the Astrophysics Institute engage in a range of research activities applying modern techniques, including high-performance computing and 3D visualisation, to contemporary problems in science. Participants will engage in seminars, discussions and practical exercises while there will also be ample opportunities to discuss career options with the staff and students of the Institute.

The funding provided covers meals and accommodation but not travel expenses. Applications are competitive and rely on transcripts of results, CV and a statement from the applicant. For further details and an application form see http://www.star.uclan.ac.uk/researchschool/index.htm
