RAS Fellows are invited to nominate candidates for election to the RAS Council in 2018. Members of the RAS Council serve as trustees of the charity, and are responsible for deciding on the overall direction and strategic aims of the Society.

Applications are welcomed from a diverse range of ages and career levels, from student to professor, and whether actively researching or working in a different area. For more information about the RAS Council and to read testimonials from current and past Council members, please see the Fellows Guide and the Council webpages.

Fellows should by now have received an email/letter inviting them to submit nominations (or to consider having themselves nominated) for positions on Council. Full details are available on the Fellows' website under the 'Help' tab: please log on to access the letter and nomination form (contact the Membership Officer if you require help with this).

Completed nomination forms should be returned by post or email, and arrive at Burlington House by noon on 24 November 2017. The results will be announced at the Society's Annual General Meeting on Friday 11 May 2018.
