Science and Technology Select Committee: The Regulation of Geoengineering

The House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee has published its report on the Regulation of Geoengineering, the proposal to deliThe British Geophysical Association (BGA), the joint association of the RAS and Geological Society that represents 'solid earth' geophysicists, contributed evidence to this inquiry.

Recommendations from the BGA included the use of evidence-based geophysical modelling before any action is taken and the need to address the shortage of qualified geophysicists whose expertise would be vital in assessing the impact of and / or implementing geoengineering projects.
