RAS Editorial Job Vacancy

The RAS is looking for an Editorial Office Manager.

The Society needs an Editorial Office Manager (EOM) to supervise and be part of a 6 person team which supports editors of Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society (MNRAS) and  Geophysical Journal International (GJI), its leading international scientific journals (published by Wiley-Blackwell). The EOM, in addition to handling papers for MNRAS, liaises with editors and the publisher, organises and attends board meetings and troubleshoots the on-line submission and tracking system (Manuscript Central).
Applicants must have relevant experience of scientific journal publishing and of Manuscript Central; a knowledge of astronomy is highly desirable.

Salary - £28,000 incuding London Weighting
