Applications are now open for an RAS Daphne Jackson Fellowship. This fellowship, run by the Daphne Jackson Trust (DJT) and sponsored by the RAS, enables a talented astronomer or geophysicist to return to research after a career break.

The fellowship is usually half time for two years, and can be held at any UK university or research establishment. Applications are open to those who hold a PhD (or equivalent) in RAS research areas and have taken a career break of at least 2 years for family, caring or health reasons.

For full terms and conditions, and details of how to apply, see the full job advert or the information on the DJT website. The deadline for receipt of applications is 27 January 2014.
