Is the UK producing too many astronomers? The RAS review of career opportunities for PhD students has ignited a debate.   Following the publication of the review, which was fully reported in the Times Higher Education Supplement, and the response of PPARC, an article has been commissioned by the American Association for the Advancement of Science on 'The Job Market in UK Astronomy'.

If you are a PhD student or a professional astronomer we would be interested in your views. Please visit the Forum

The Review and PPARC's response can be read here
