Job vacancy: Finance Manager / Accountant

RAS logoThe RAS is currently inviting applications from suitably-qualified individuals for the position of Finance Manager / Accountant, to start in early 2015.

We are seeking an individual of graduate calibre who is a professionally qualified accountant with 3 years post qualification experience (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). Applicants must have demonstrable financial accounting experience including day-to-day operational financial tasks, and experience in producing statutory financial statements.

The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day operations of the financial accounting function of the RAS, which is a registered charity. This includes administering all financial records, ensuring financial controls are maintained, managing the banking and controls, preparing the statutory accounts, VAT, payroll, raising sales invoices, monitoring credit control and managing auditors.

The post requires both detailed attention to individual payments and ledger maintenance as well as managing strategic issues such as auditing requirements, tax returns and operating within the charity sector. The position offers developmental opportunities.
