PROFESSOR R. J. TAYLER OBE, FRS (1929-97)

We regret to announce the death on 23rd January 1997 of Roger John Tayler, Emeritus Professor of Astronomy at the University of Sussex, after a courageous eight-year fight against cancer. He will be greatly missed by colleagues in the Royal Astronomical Society and the wider astronomical community.
