The RAS  has called on the scientific community and the research councils to strengthen the UK's role in planetary science

The RAS believes that, while planetary science is one of the UK's strengths, the community and the research councils need to do more to exploit the opportunities generated by public interest in planetary missions by encouraging an integrated approach to knowledge transfer, improving communication and by reviewing how the subject is taught to university students.
