RAS logoThe 195th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the RAS will be held in the lecture theatre of the Geological Society, Burlington House, London, on Friday 8 May 2015 at 15:00. It is open to RAS Fellows and staff members only.

The General Meeting of Fellows is the ultimate authority in the affairs of the society, with the power to appoint Council members, determine the byelaws of the society, and to amend its Royal Charter. Important business includes consideration of the annual report and accounts, setting membership rates, and in 2015 a major review of the RAS byelaws. We encourage all Fellows of the society to attend.

The following documentation is available on the Fellows-only section of the website:

  • Agenda for the 195th Annual General Meeting 2015
  • Minutes of the 194th AGM 2014
  • Honorary auditors' report 2014
  • Trustees' annual report and accounts 2014
  • Note on revisions to the RAS byelaws
    • Byelaws Annex A - Proposed byelaws
    • Byelaws Annex B - Universal ethical code for scientists
    • Byelaws Annex C - Regulations for Associates

See the instructions on how to access the Fellows-only section. Copies have also been sent via email.

The AGM will also include the results of the 2015 election for members of the RAS Council. To vote in the election see these instructions. Electronic voting requires the unique link which was sent to each Fellow via email.
